Swiftpage International Returns and Cancellation Policy

We hope you’re happy with what you’ve bought from us. If you think you need to return something or cancel your order with us please contact us on the contact numbers below. We will process your query in line with this returns & cancellation policy. We will email you to confirm your cancellation. Please keep a copy of the emails from us. Please note this returns policy is in addition to your rights as described in our terms of business and this policy does not affect your statutory rights.

What can I return?
If you purchased your product direct from Swiftpage (either online or over the phone) then you should contact us in accordance with this policy. If you bought from another Act! supplier such as an independent Swiftpage Business Partner, an Accountant, or a Retailer such as PC World or Staples you must return it to them in accordance with their own guidelines.

Software Returns & Licence Only Upgrades
Software can be returned and downloads reimbursed within 7 days of the date of purchase (this period begins on the date you receive an order confirmation from us) provided:

  • it is in its original condition e.g. unopened and not damaged; and
  • we are granted remote access (if we request it) to uninstall any software which you have downloaded.

You acknowledge and understand that we will deactivate your license key; this will prevent you from installing the software again.

Swiftpage Training Workbooks
Workbooks can be returned within 30 days of the date of delivery, provided the packaging is unopened.

Cancellation of Act! Business Care & other services
Act! Business Care contracts are for 12 months. Cancellations will only be considered if:

  • we receive written notice (including via email) within 30 days of the date of the invoice date
  • you have not used any of the service element of the contract has been used, including for example Act! telephone support and access to the knowledge base
  • we have not provided you with any product upgrade (if this is provided as part of your service contract)
  • you have not used any discounts which you may be entitled to as a feature of the contract you wish to cancel.

Swiftpage Training and Consultancy Services
You may only cancel training and consultancy services if we receive your request to cancel in writing within 30 days of the date we send you an order confirmation for the training, and not less than 7 days before the scheduled date of the training.

You may not cancel the training or consultancy if:

  • we have already incurred any out of pocket expenses on your behalf; or
  • the training services or consultancy are specific to your requirements.

Returning software or cancelling services provided as part of a bundle
If you have purchased your Software as part of a bundle with a support or other service contract, you may only return your software if this policy also entitles you to cancel the service element of your bundle. Similarly, if you wish to cancel the service element, you may only do so if this policy also entitles you to return the software provided as part of your bundle.

What happens when I return something?
You will receive a full refund of the price you paid for the Products and any applicable delivery charges you paid for. We will process the refund due to you as soon as possible and, in any case, within 30 calendar days of the day on which you sent us your notice of cancellation.

If you have returned products to us because they are faulty or mis-described, we will refund the price of a defective product in full, any applicable delivery charges, and any reasonable costs you incur in returning the item to us.

If you used a credit or debit card to pay, we will refund you on that card.

If the Products were delivered to you:

  • you must return the Products to us as soon as reasonably practicable. If the Products require collection, we will collect the Products from the address to which they were delivered. We will contact you to arrange a suitable time for collection;
  • unless the Products are faulty or not as described (in this case, see clause 7.6), you will be responsible for the cost of returning the Products to us;
  • you have a legal obligation to keep the Products in your possession and to take reasonable care of the Products while they are in your possession.

If you are a consumer, you have a legal right to cancel a Contract under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000) during the period set out below in clause 7.3. This means that during the relevant period if you change your mind or for any other reason you decide you do not want to keep a Product, you can notify us of your decision to cancel the Contract and receive a refund. For further details about your legal right to cancel the Contract please contact your own legal adviser.

You may have additional or different legal rights in relation to products or services that are faulty or not as described. Those legal rights are not affected by this returns policy.
